The sector is now made up of 700 EdTech companies generating over $2.9 Billion, of which $900 Million is export revenue. The sector employs 17,000 nationally and is considered a top industry for technology workers. This is a sharp increase from just two years ago with over 100 new companies in the market, an extra 4,000 people employed, and an increase of over $700 million in sector revenue.

This census is an integral part of mapping the current ecosystem and ensuring that we can advocate for the entire sector over the coming years. We update the survey annually and with each new survey intend to deep dive into a specific area of detailed analysis. This year we want to explore in detail what you perceive is the impact artificial intelligence might have on your company.

Understanding the size of the market, the growth of the companies, the ambitions and the challenges, ensures that we have accurate data to support programs, services and advocacy work now and into the future.
