The submission, interview and presentation by Christopher Drake impressed the judging panel consisting of Ryan O’Hare, Pauline Farrell, Warwick Freeland, Georgina McCann and Angelo Nardozza. The judges commenting on the very clear business plan and implementation plan. Highlighting the team have lots of startup experience and expect the product should scale across Australia.
CoursewareMarket is the work of Christopher Drake and Andrew Mcleod from Queensland University of Technology.
The business plan submission highlighted the opportunity to provide a sustainable option for RTOs to continually develop, update, and improve course materials. It leverages the core similarities across courses, as they align to ASQA standards, and offers selling RTOs a secondary income stream. The innovation increases staff utilisation, as buyers can focus on teaching – as opposed to content creation, and the automation eases administration for sellers.
