Co-Founder & Co-CEO Practera
Wes is an academic, author and edtech entrepreneur. He co-founded Practera an experiential education technology and has over 20 years experience leading entrepreneurial companies and intrapreneurial teams. He is a past Executive Director of Deloitte’s National Innovation Program. Wes was an early pioneer of online education in the US, being a hands-on product and software development leader, a computer science graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and of Harvard Business School’s executive MBA program.
Grainne is an academic, author and edtech entrepreneur. She is an Associate Professor in Accounting at Swinburne University of Technology, with her research interests in teaching and learning that have attracted over $175,000 in funding. She developed Quitch a gamified mobile learning platform from her research into teaching innovations to enhance the student experience and learning outcomes. She serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Contemporary Issues in Business and Government and publishes on topics related to decision making in local governments.

Glenn is a government and education sector leader with expertise in organisation design, culture analysis, strategy, performance improvement, and corporate governance. He is a Non-Executive Director of the Gippsland Waste and Resource Recovery Group, an Executive Director of Deakin University’s UniLink Pty Ltd and a past advisory board member for OECD, APO, ANU and U.Can.
CEO, Smart Sparrow
Dror is the Founder & CEO of Smart Sparrow, a transformative force in the education ecosystem, delivering on the vision of richer, personalised digital learning. He believes in empowering educators with great technology that inspires them to deliver stunning experiences; and has spent the last decade thinking, coding, reading, and writing about Guided Active Learning. Dror is a Professor of Practice at Arizona State University’s teachers college and Associate Director of the university’s Center for Education Through eXploration (ETX). He is an Adjunct Academic at the UNSW School of Computer Science and Engineering, where he received BSc in Physics and Computer Science and a PhD in AI and Education.

Founder & CEO Open Learning
Adam is a software engineer, edtech entrepreneur and activist. He co-founded Open Learning, a social learning platform that has become the national MOOC platform for public universities and polytechnics in Australia and Malaysia. He was 2011 Choice Magazine Consumer Activist of the Year, recipient of the 2011 UNSW Alumni Graduand Award and named one of the 2017 Forbes 30 under 30 Asia in Consumer Technology.
Chief Commercial Officer, Navitas
Iain has 20 years of experience in the education sector with a particular focus on the commercial interface with the sector. He has held a range of executive roles including Chief Financial Officer and Director Business Development with the University of Western Sydney, as well as Managing Director of Access MQ Ltd and Assistant Vice-Chancellor with Macquarie University. His experience extends to a diverse range of commercial transactions including property and infrastructure, licensing, start-up companies, joint ventures and financing.
With significant experience in innovation and new ventures, Iain has participated in many business start-ups as both a founder, director and mentor including a co-founder of MultiLit Pty Ltd, a literacy business where he continues as a Board Director.

Caroline has worked in policy, advisory and analytic roles in relation to the Australian education sector for much of the last decade. Caroline’s career was built from a strong foundation at the ABS, extending to work on nationally significant projects in early childhood education then higher education. Now having worked for a number of years in international education for the Victorian Government, Caroline is passionate about mining datasets for intelligence and ensuring the sector is positioned to maximise future growth by embracing digital technologies.

Warwick is an expert in strategy, acquisitions, information services, project management and IELTS. He has enjoyed a successful career in innovation winning a German Government Innovation Award and launching global products as VP Global Product Marketing and Innovation for Carl Zeiss Vision Germany. He has founded multiple start-ups in the areas of electronics, speech technology and machinery and holds over 20 patents.
EVP Partnership Strategy, Study Portals
François was educated in Industrial Engineering and Management Science, specialising in International Distribution and Logistics. He completed his Masters practical training in China and final thesis in the United States. He has held several leadership positions at Quintiq Dassault Systems, a market leading software company for supply chain management.
