The Maths Project by Teachers to Leaders is an early-stage online platform designed to challenge high-performing primary school students in mathematics. Built in collaboration with Emeritus Professor Peter Sullivan, it addresses a gap in existing EdTech — most tools focus on number fluency, leaving gifted students under-extended. The platform lets students access complex maths problems, record video explanations of their problem-solving strategies, and receive AI-generated feedback analysing their mathematical reasoning and language — not just their answers. Aligned with AERO research, the focus is on building problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning, and mathematical communication. Currently in trial phase with schools, with a version one launch planned for September.
