The Innovation Precinct is back online!

Considering the current COVID-19 situation, EduTECH will go ahead in an all-virtual format. Not only is this safe for yourself and your community, but also easy to tune into without disrupting your work schedule.

You will connect with attendees through your own virtual booth, populated with all of your best demo videos and most helpful marketing materials. And: they can book with you one-on-one. Education is people-oriented, so putting a face to the solution is valuable for school representatives and teachers.

The Innovation Precinct at EduTECH helped us connect with many university stakeholders – both during, and well after.   The educators we met were generous in helping us clarify our product’s strengths, weaknesses, and instrumental to our development.

The Program

The MES@EduTECH Innovation Precinct will run over two days: Tuesday 17 August and Wednesday 18 August 2021.

The 2021 EduTECH theme is: “Digitisation, Creativity, Diversity”.

The program is designed to promote promising EdTech companies and their innovative solutions at one of the biggest EdTech conferences in the world. You’ll be in the middle of the action, receiving direct feedback from educators and increasing your brand awareness in front of the people that matter.

And, it’s fun! You’ll meet people who are just as passionate about social impact in the education space as you are.

The three key opportunities for exhibiting companies are:

1

Booths (Innovation Alley)

Build connections for the future with your exclusive booth at EduTECH.

It can be pretty costly to buy your own space at a major conference. If selected, Innovation Precinct companies can showcase at a discounted price. Here, you’ll speak one-on-one with educators, school administrators, university representatives, and more.

Your booth will be hosted on Swapcard. You can upload links, videos, brochures and any other relevant marketing information to exhibit your solution to visitors. And when attendees want to connect with you directly, they can book an appointment with you through your profile. See someone you want to chat with? You can direct message attendees, too.

There are a limited number of booths up for grabs — apply today.

2

Pitch competition (Innovation Pitch)

Practice makes perfect, and pitching as often as you can as a startup is crucial for growth. More eyes on the product, and more minutes to refine the why of your online platform or service.

On Wednesday the 18th, the entire day will be focused on entrepreneurship and this very competition. In front of a panel of judges, present your snappiest 4-minute pitch to investors and experienced EdTech leaders. There will be a Q&A so so the audience can hear more about how your solution can be applied in a school setting.

This will also live-streamed for a global audience. You’ll be heard by educators, education innovation founders and thinkers worldwide.

Plus: There’s a prize! The winner of the pitch competition will be given a prize pack valuable specifically for startups.

  • Re-branding with a leading agency
  • Sales consulting
  • Investment strategy design consulting
  • A semi-finalist place at the Milken-Penn (University of Pennsylvania) GSE Education Business Plan Competition: the world’s biggest EdTech business plan competition with up to USD $100K prize. Pitching to real investors and in front of educators at MES put my sales pitch to the test. The feedback I was given has definitely helped us improve our products positioning in the market.
