Member Connect – 12 April 2021

Welcome to the inaugural Member Connect program, exclusively developed for EduGrowth’s members.

As a part of this new program, in 2021 we will be running various sessions for our members.

Our first session for 2021 on 12 April has been designed to:

1. Help you connect with other EduGrowth members across the Australian EdTech ecosystem.

2. Provide you with information about EduGrowth as an organisation, our vision for the Australian EdTech sector and how you can get the most out of your membership with us. You will also get a chance to meet the EduGrowth Team and learn about our Strategic Partners.

3. Inspire you through an in-conversation session with EduGrowth’s board member Prof. Beverley Oliver, former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Deakin University. Beverley will be discussing the current state of higher education and the role of technology in its future.

Who should attend?

We welcome all EduGrowth member organisations and their staff.

From Managing Directors to Marketers to Sales to Product Managers to Engineers to Founders – we want all staff within our member organisations to have the opportunity to benefit from the EduGrowth Member Connect Program.

There is no limit to the number of staff members that can attend from your organisation.

Our Thought Leadership Speakers

Beverley Oliver

Emeritus Professor Beverley Oliver is a higher education consultant, speaker and researcher focussed on digital education, micro-credentials, curriculum transformation, quality assurance and graduate employability. Beverley is a past Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education at Deakin University, where she was awarded the title of Alfred Deakin Professor, for her outstanding and sustained contribution to conceptualising the strategic enhancement of courses in the digital economy and furthering Deakin University’s research and scholarship in the field of higher education.

Sarah Chamberlain (Interviewer)

Sarah Chamberlain is the founder of ReadyTeacher; a workforce recruitment platform for education providers to hire education specialists. Over many years whilst teaching international students, Sarah experienced first-hand the consequences of insecure work on teachers in the international education sector. She started ReadyTeacher in 2015. Now ReadyTeacher’s scalable software solution allows education providers to search for and hire last-minute staff and new employees. Sarah is passionate about creating accessible, equitable employment opportunities and hopes to work with local teachers in Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia.
