Higher Ed Showcase: Empowering Learners & Educators through Active Learning

Join EduGrowth and learn how EdTech is supporting learners by creating an environment of connection to their community.

EduGrowth is proud to partner with ASCILITE to deliver HigherEd Showcases, a program to showcase Australian education innovation for the University sector.

In Conversation:

Active learning, put simply, is students participating in or interacting with the learning process. When implemented effectively, active learning strategies have proven to contribute to increased learner engagement both on- and outside the campus.

New technologies are supporting active learning principles; offering educators and learners more engagement and agency. Join us for a session focused on empowering learners and educators with technology designed for active learning.

This program will feature Dr. Philip Uys, the Adjunct Associate Professor of Education from The University of Adelaide and Dr. Lisa Jacka, Senior Lecturer (Curriculum and Pedagogy – Primary and Secondary), School of Education, University of Southern Queensland.

Showcase:

Open Learning and Cenotes will showcase their EdTech solution and, importantly, how it impacts teaching and learning outcomes. This new format is to highlight a case study through the eyes of the end users who gain the benefits from education innovation.

Open Learning will present a case study on The High Resolves soft-skills educational online program delivered in partnership with the University of Technology Sydney.

Cenotes will present a case study on their Student Pulse solution deployed in partnership with CQUniversity.

Who should attend:

– Educators (academics)

– Education providers (administrators and senior university executives)

– Industry Participants

– EdTech companies
