InformED Proof of Concept: Where EdTech Meets Real Classrooms

EduGrowth is pleased to announce the launch of the InformED Proof of Concept (PoC) Program, supported by the City of Melbourne.

The PoC program is a structured initiative designed to help EdTech companies test their solutions in real education environments, working directly with schools and educators to generate practical insights and meaningful feedback.

Delivered over 6–10 weeks, the program connects selected EdTech companies with innovative education partners to trial new digital tools in authentic learning settings. Throughout the process, EduGrowth supports the design and coordination of the trial, facilitates collaboration between partners, and captures key learnings and evidence.

A Collaborative Approach to EdTech Innovation

The program recognises that effective education technology is shaped by the expertise of educators. Participating schools play a critical role in the process by providing structured feedback on product design, usability, and classroom implementation.

Through workshops, reflection sessions, and real-world trials, educators contribute their professional insight directly into the EdTech development process, helping ensure that solutions reflect the realities of teaching and learning environments.

Participation also positions schools as leaders in innovation and sector improvement, demonstrating their commitment to thoughtful and responsible adoption of new technologies.

Supporting EdTech Growth

For EdTech companies, the PoC program provides an opportunity to:

  • Test solutions with genuine users in real education contexts
  • Validate product–market fit and refine value propositions
  • Gather educator feedback and implementation insights
  • Develop case studies and communications assets that support future partnerships and market growth

Rather than academic research, the focus of the PoC program is practical validation and real-world learning.

A Shared Outcome

By the end of each Proof of Concept, both education partners and EdTech companies will leave with valuable insights, strengthened relationships, and compelling stories that demonstrate the impact of collaboration between educators and the EdTech sector.

The InformED initiative continues to support meaningful connections between education providers, innovators, and the broader EdTech ecosystem to drive better outcomes for learners.
