Safer Technology 4 Schools (ST4S) is a national privacy and security initiative for digital products in K-12 education. The initiative is a framework to provide a standardised approach to evaluating digital products and services for use in schools across Australia.
Recognising the importance of the program, EduGrowth scheduled this briefing session on 6 June 2022 with Andrew Smith, CEO of Education Services Australia and Anthony Yaremenko, Program Manager of the National Schools Interoperability Program (NSIP), Education Services Australia.

Andrew Smith
Andrew Smith is CEO of Education Services Australia, a not for profit education technology company owned by all Australian education ministers. ESA develops and deploys national education infrastructure and resources and provides technology based services to the education sector.
Andrew has qualifications in education, science and business and brings to the role of CEO extensive experience and expertise in strategic leadership in the education, training and not-for-profit sectors. Having started his career in the classroom, Andrew’s previous roles include Vice President (Engagement) at Swinburne University and CEO of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training.
Anthony Yaremenko
Anthony Yaremenko, Program Manager of the National Schools Interoperability Program (NSIP) at Education Services Australia (ESA).
He is currently leading a national transformation initiative (conception, strategy to implementation) for the Safer Technologies for Schools (ST4S) program on behalf of all Australian education stakeholders (States, Territories, Commonwealth, Catholic and Independent school sectors).
