New EduGrowth chair appointed

The EduGrowth Board of Directors are delighted to welcome the appointment of Mark Lamont as Chair.

Mark joined the EduGrowth Board in December 2018 and effective July 2019 was elected to succeed Tony Brennan as Chair.  The Board thanks Tony for his guidance and support during the important transition phase he guided us through.

Mark brings considerable skills and expertise from the global EdTech sector to the EduGrowth Board to help us deliver our mission of transforming global communities by enabling the growth of Australian EdTech

“It’s an honour to be appointed EduGrowth Chair, especially at this stage of the organisation’s growth.” said Mark. EduGrowth was established in 2016 and in this short time has established itself as Australia’s education technology and innovation industry hub with reach across the country and internationally.

“EduGrowth is well placed to deliver on our mission.  The hard work of my Board colleagues and previous Board members has given us a great foundation from which to build.  I look forward to working with the executive and meeting EduGrowth members all across Australia as we continue to build the Australian EdTech sector locally and globally.”

Mark Lamont is a highly experienced and visionary EdTech leader, strategist and entrepreneur. He is a non-executive director at government-owned Education Services Australia; a non-executive director at 3P Learning; a casual academic at the University of NSW, and directs a portfolio of EdTech companies as co-founder or investor.  Mark has deep tech industry and education sector knowledge, insight, experience and networks, and these characteristics will prove invaluable to the EduGrowth board.

We congratulate and welcome Mark’s appointment.
